Antonio (Tony) Valenzuela passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, Arizona, on August 17, 2013, after a brief illness. Tony was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was born on April 30, 1936, in Tucson, Arizona. He graduated from Tucson High School in 1954. After graduation he worked at Hughes Aircraft, where he was employed for 35 years. Tony enjoyed sports, reading, and spending time with his family. He was an active member in his church, serving in many ministries. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Carmen, and their four sons, Mark (Marta), Jerry (Jackie), Jim (Denise), and Joe (Tracy). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, and sister, Terry. He is preceded in death by his parents, José and Maria; brother, Joe and sister, Cathy. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013, preceded by a Rosary Service at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton |
