Stanley W. Tyler Sr.
Norfolk - Stanley W. Tyler Sr. 78, was born on Feb. 29, 1936 and passed on Sept. 25, 2014. He was born to and predeceased by his parents, Stanley L. and Vivian L. Tyler and oldest brother Eugene W. Tyler. He was educated at St. Joseph's Catholic School and Norfolk State University, and was a member of the US Army and retired from the US Postal Service. He was a dedicated member of The Basilica of St. Mary's of The Immaculate Conception for over seventy years and a member of The Knights of Columbus # 367. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Cynthia Tyler, two sons, Stanley Tyler Jr. and Robert Tyler, six step children, one sister, Barbara Briggs, one brother, Douglas Tyler, eight grandchildren, one niece, two nephews, one great grandchild, and other relatives and friends. A viewing will be on Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014 from 2-8pm at Riddick Funeral Service. Funeral Mass will be held at The Basilica of St. Mary's of The Immaculate Conception on Wed.
