MAURICE LE BRUN

 

Norfolk - Maurice LeBrun passed away peacefully in his easy chair this past weekend in Lantana, Florida. He was born in Taunton, Mass. to the late Joseph Silvio and Regina LeBrun.

He was a member of Christ the King Catholic church for 33 years before moving to Florida. He was also a fourth degree Knight of Columbus. Also, volunteered at DePaul hospital. Maurice was in the U. S. Navy for 24 years and retired in 1966 as a Master Chief Quartermaster. He entered federal civil service as a navigation instructor during the Vietnam War retiring after 19 years.

He was predeceased by two daughters, infant Nancy in 1952 and Linda M. Zarn in 1998 and, his loving wife Louise Mansfield LeBrun in 2007.

Maurice and Louise have four children: Robert C. LeBrun and wife, Ann, Lorraine M. Sears and husband, Ray and Raymond LeBrun and wife, Nancy all of Virginia Beach, Lucille Harris and husband, Clark of Ruther Glen, VA.; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A special thanks for Maurice's first grandson, Michael Zarn for being by his side for the past ten years while living in Florida.

The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 7th at 9:30 A.M. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach. A visitation of friends and family will be held Monday evening between 6 -7 P.M. in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel.
