Lessell Davis
Chesapeake - Lessell was born in Virginia Beach (Seatack) to the late Margie Davis. He was the stepson of George Pegram. Lessell was married to Rosetta Stokes who passed away two months ago.
He was a nurse of Public Health Service for 33 years and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as a veteran of W.WII. Lessell was a Charter member of A.F.G.E Lodge 1522 with 10 years as secretary. He was Assistant District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts, board member & volunteer worker at the American Red Cross, a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #4, the Knights of Columbus Council 367 (PGK-PFN-FDD) 4th degree of M.J; Okeefe Assembly, the Ryan Club and Civitan Club of Norfolk. Lessell worked for years at Doctors West's Veterinary Hospital. He traveled a great deal in and out of the country and LOVED Dover Casino.
Left to mourn is his cousins, Margaret R. Shortt; John Jr. & wife, Shirley; Kelvin Sr.; and John III & IV.
