Antonio C. "Tony" Quezon
Norfolk - Antonio Cruz Quezon, 84, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Sentara Hospice Center of Norfolk, Virginia. Born in Bagong Bayan, Orion, Bataan, Philippines to the late Pedro Quezon and Perfecta Cruz.
Tony served over 20 years in United States Navy, receiving 4 Good Conduct and 2 National Defense medals, and retired as a Chief with an honorable discharge. He was an actively involved member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, 4th degree Knights of Columbus Council 367, and VFW Post 4809. Tony and Grace enjoyed ballroom dancing.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Engracia M. Quezon; a son, Antonio Joseph Quezon (wife, Suzanne Miller) of Fairfax Station, Virginia; a daughter, Diliane Perez Quezon Campbell (husband, James) of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, James Martin Quezon Campbell (wife, Chelsey), Carmen Quezon Campbell (Justin Minkel); three great-grandchildren, Connor Michael Andrews, Zoe Isabella Andrews, and Willow Joyce Minkel; a brother, Alfredo; a sister, Consolacion, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carmen Lourdes Quezon and by brothers, Francisco, Istanislao, and Marcial.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14th in St. Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. Nixon Negparanon officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation on this evening (Tues.) from 6 until 8:00 p.m., during which a Rosary and Chalice Service will be conducted at the Norfolk Chapel of H. D.
