Donald Louis Oliveros, age 67, of Cumming, Georgia, died on Aug. 31, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in St. Augustine on Oct. 30, 1947, to Charles Gard Oliveros Jr. and Rita Weaver Oliveros. He graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1966, and after being in the Navy during the Vietnam War, he graduated from Florida State University. He later worked for and retired from the Department of Defense Navy Audit Agency. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathy and his brother, Joe. He is survived by his loving wife, Ivy Ang Oliveros; his son, Paul Oliveros (Adrienne) and their twin daughters; his daughter, Kathy Oliveros; his sister, Joan Oliveros Taylor (Dan); his brothers; Chuck Oliveros, John Oliveros and Jim Oliveros (Mary); and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Duluth, Georgia, followed with burial in Conyers, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald's memory may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or to the Salvatorians. Phoenix Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. |
