A Mass of Christian Burial for Floyd Frank Snider, 93, of Longview will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church in Hallsville with Rev. Eugene Tillekeratne officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and the Rosary will be recited at 10:30 A.M. at the church Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Snider passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, in Longview..
Mr. Snider was born August 17, 1923 in Bremond, Texas and came to Longview in the 1940's. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Master Gunnery Sargent a nd was retired from Texas Eastman where he was a chemical operator. Mr. Snider started the St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus and was currently a parishioner at Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church in Hallsville, where he was active in supporting the Food Pantry. He also enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds and riding his tractor.
Mr. Snider was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Imogene Snider, children and spouses, Steve and Lana Snider, Brenda J. and Steve Lyons, and Kathy Ballard all of Longview; Tonya and David Mayfield of Hurst; stepson, Bert E. Glass Snider of Pin Oak, 6 grandchildren and spouses, Emily Snider, Melanie Sunset Lyons Hilliard and David Hilliard, Buzz and Barbara Ballard, Craig Snider, Zach and Ian Mayfield, and great granddaughter, Aubrey Ballard.
