Daniel J. (Dan) Gorman, 80, of Plano, Texas, died after a long illness at noon on Sunday, July 3, 2016 surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 11, 1935 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Frank and Thelma (Hurst) Gorman. Dan was a Marsh Foundation resident for 11 years. Upon graduation from Van Wert High School in 1955, he went to work at Aeroquip Corporation in the factory. In a relatively short time, he was promoted to sales and marketing, and when he retired from there after 38 years, he was Director of North American Sales.
On July 19, 1958, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Linda Bagley. They were blessed with 6 children. Through the many company moves back and forth across the country, wherever the eight of them were was home.
Dan joined the Knights of Columbus making his First Degree on January 16, 2010. He went on to make his Second and Third Degrees on February 27, 2010.
