Aloysius J. Konieczny, age 91, life long resident of North Chicago, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 at Manor Care in Libertyville IL. Al was born April 15th, 1923 in North Chicago, IL.
Al retired from Great Lakes Naval Base. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW, Polish Roman Catholic Union, Polish National Alliance, Polish Home and Holy Name Society. Al was an Army veteran of WWII.
He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand neices and grand nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Victoria Konieczny, Mary (Andrew) Yarc, Anne (John) Jansa, Adeline (Frank) Zegar, Veronica C. (Frank) Bena, Joan (Michael) Derbas, Jean (Peter) Sulentic and Adeline Konieczny. Brothers; Francis, Walter, Joseph and Frank (Fritz) Konieczny. |
