Joseph Leccesi, 82, of Beach Park, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, surrounded by his family and friends at Journey Care Hospice in Woodstock, Ill.
He was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Melrose Park, Ill.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish; a veteran having served in the USMC; fourth degree member and past grand knight of Knights of Columbus, Waukegan Council 731; he had also been active in Carmel Street Scenes and Father Culls Friends of the Hungry. He was a production manager at Sara Lee retiring after 34 years of service.
Joe was the loving husband for 60 years to Islo (nee Anderson) and is further survived by his children, Tony (Mary) Leccesi of Beach Park, John (Jean) Leccesi of Beach Park, Ann (Steve) Smeiser of Plainfield, Ill., and Theresa (Jim) Patterson of Zion; grandchildren, Mike Leccesi, Gregg (Ashley) Leccesi, Jenny (Erick McCormick) Leccesi, Joe Leccesi, Andy Smelser, Katie Smelser, James (Britt) Patterson, Jo Ann Patterson; gread grandson, Oliver Leccesi.
