Joseph (Joe) A. Falotico, 81, born in Waukegan, Illinois passed away peacefully on 3/18/15 @ his daughters home surrounded by loved ones. He was born March 3, 1934. He married Elizabeth (Betty) (Borzick) on September 4, 1954, after asking her to marry him on their first date. They celebrated 60 years together this past September with family. He moved his family to Gurnee in 1964 from Waukegan. Joseph was a paperboy at the age of 8 for the News Sun. A Bartender @ McCormicks Bar & Restaurant in Lake Forest, IL, Moose Lodge in Waukegan, IL. He also tagged team with his cousin, Jim, where he did the singing to draw people in and Jim mixed the drinks @ Bertrands Bowling Lanes in Waukegan, IL. He attended Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL. Worked for Drake Electric as a salesman and then on to Interstate Electric as a salesman and retiring from there in 1999. He then went on to start and own 3 car washes, Lake Villa, Salem & Fox Lake Car Washes and eventually sold. Early in his life he was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan where he was highly involved in the Holy Name Society & Church Choir. Joseph was also a reader, Eucharistic minister and CCD teacher. He spent many volunteer hours at the VA hospital on Sundays bringing patients to Mass and doing the church readings at St. Therese Chapel as well. He was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #731 & #11112, and Past Faithful Navigator 4th degree Bishop Quarter Assembly. He also cooked dinner for the K of C Bingo volunteers. He was in charge of "Italian Night" at the K of C club in Waukegan, this was his biggest family affair. He's among the original members for St. Paul the Apostle Church, Gurnee, IL, where he helped open the church for daily mass for over 15+ years, was a Eucharistic Minister and Minister of Care. He was "SANTA" @ many pre-schools, Church functions, Model "A" Christmas parties and for close family and friends & most of all to his kids, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He was a very active person keeping up with his large garden to which he always shared the bounty of fruit/veggies from the trunk of his car @ church. He opened his trunk when he arrived @ church and by the time Mass was over his trunk was empty. Always growing more than could be consumed. Keeping up with his yard work and driving his Model "A" cars to shows & on short trips. He hosted many picinics @ his home throughout the years too. He is survived by His Wife: Elizabeth Louise (Borzick). Children: Danny (Renee) Falotico, Jacqueline (Larry) Williams, Mary Kay Falotico, Joseph S. (Laura) Falotico, Peter (Christina) Falotico, Diane (Mike) Kennedy, Brenda (Dale) Stark, Therese (Gayle) Manuel, John (Holly) Falotico, Sharon (Ron) Jensen. Grandchildren: Brian (Fay) Falotico, Scott (Monica) Falotico, Steve (Tamara) Falotico, Robert & Samantha Williams, Stuart & Lucy Lawrence, Dillon & Hunter Falotico, Hayley & Savannah Kennedy, Kayla, Zachary, & Sara Stark, Amy Kubes, Gregory Guntharp, Hannah Rummel, Nicole Manuel, Wilder, Carly & Tritium Falotico, Veronica & Maggie Jensen. Great-Grandchildren: Miah, Sophia, Dominic, Jaxton, Isaac, Isabella Falotico, Sinclair & Hunter Guntharp, Zakary Kubes Sisters: Lenora (Robert) Lunkenhiemer - IL, Antoinette (Ron) Packman - OH, Mary (Bob) Hlidek - AZ. Many Nieces and Nephew, and Special Friends. Preceded in death by: His parents - Sam & Lena Falotico, and his grandson, Derek Manuel.
