It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Miele, who passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Juravinski Hospital at the age of 78. Frank was born on December 6, 1948, in Avellino, Andretta, Italy.
Written by his granddaughter, Maddie:
Grandpa Frank was truly one of a kind. To know him was to love him. Every single person who crossed his path felt his kindness, his warmth, and his unwavering selflessness. He never complained, never asked for recognition, and never put himself first. He simply showed up — every single day — for the people he loved and for his community.
He made an impact on every life he touched. Whether he was volunteering at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, dedicating his time to his church and the Knights of Columbus, leading others in faith, driving us to practice without hesitation, or making dinner for the family, he did it all with quiet strength and a full heart. He didn’t do these things for praise — he did them because that was who he was.
Grandpa was the kind of person you could always trust. The kind of person who made you feel safe, supported, and unconditionally loved. He lived a life defined by service, generosity, and deep faith, setting an example that will stay with all of us forever.
He was not just known — he was cherished.
Frank leaves behind his loving son Anthony and daughter-in-law Becky; his beloved grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Madison, and Tyler; and his loyal best buddy, Tank. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Maria Michelina; his brother Alfonso (Giuseppina); his sister Grazia (Michele); and his son, Kelly.
His legacy of kindness, faith, and quiet strength will live on in all who were blessed to know him. |
