Andrew Jack Sciacca, Sr., 61, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on April 27, 2025.
Andy was born June 25, 1961 in New York, the son of John Jr. and Kitty (Orloff) Sciacca.
He was a proud graduate of Minisink Valley High School and the State University of New York at Cortland. He also served overseas in the U.S. Army, most notably in South Korea, where he met his soulmate, Kim.
A devoted lifelong Catholic, Andy was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Virginia Beach at the time of his death. He joined the Knights of Columbus fraternal service order during his time at St. Matthew Catholic Community in Durham, NC, holding several leadership roles as part of Council #13812 and Msgr. William F. O'Brien Assembly #3365.
Beyond his religious dedication, Andy also loved tabletop and online roleplaying games, gardening, superhero comics and movies, and helping his family with their myriad special interests. He was our biggest (and loudest!) supporter. Remaining to cherish Andy's memory include his beloved wife Kimberley; children, Kaylee (Nick) and Andrew Jr.; pets and grandpets, Ambrose, Abigail and Bart; brother John III; sister Joy (Anthony Sr.); brother-in-law Robert; mother-in-law Shirley; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Chantelle, Savannah and Anthony Jr.; and dozens of friends spread throughout the country.
Preceding Andy in death are parents John Jr. and Kitty and father-in-law Bob. An animal lover his entire life, he has many treasured pets waiting to greet him on the other side as well.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a Chalice Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Rd Chapel.
