Hilary was born on June 13, 1937, to Gail and Marie Ives. He passed away at home on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Hilary was born in Havelock, IA and grew up in Floyd, IA. He attended Iowa State University and received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Administration in 1960. From there, he attended Marquette University where he received his MBA. Hilary enjoyed playing basketball, golf, tennis, tuba, investing, chess, canasta and was an avid reader. Additionally, he enjoyed travelling to South America. Professionally, Hilary was a business technology consultant at McGladrey and then at Honeywell. After that he began teaching at DeVry full time from 1987 until his retirement 20 years later. |
