Eugene H. Wurster, 90, passed away on June 28, 2017. Eugene was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Eugene and Anastasia Wurster. He was a part of the greatest generation of WWII Navy Veterans when he signed up at the age of 17 and served his country proudly. Gene later joined Mobil Corporation, where he retired as General Auditor with over 30 years of dedicated service and traveled the world with the company. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Rubinich Wurster. He moved to Virginia Beach in 1989 and has been a long-time member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Gene is survived by his wife of 32 years, Catherine A. Wurster, three children, Jeannine Sibert (Robert) of Virginia Beach, Christopher Wurster (Beth) of New York City, and John Kearns (Angela) of Virginia Beach, and four grandchildren, Russell, Jenna, Angel, and JP. |
