Emmett N. Joyce age 86 of Richland Center passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 surrounded by family and the caring staff at Milestone Senior Living in Cross Plains, WI. He was born on August 19, 1928 in Rockbridge Township the son of Harry and Erma (Kitson) Joyce. Emmett was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Richland Center and a 3rd generation farmer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was the Rockbridge Township Treasurer for many years. Survivors include 4 siblings, Marie Wanless of Reedsburg, Louise Foster of Monona, Patrick (Karen) Joyce of Cambridge, WI, Joan (Tom) Sinniger of LaCrosse, 2 sisters-in-law, Irene Joyce and Marge Joyce both of Richland Center, many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Erma Joyce, 3 brothers, James, Tom and Joe Joyce, 3 sisters, Eleanor Jambois, Kathryn Sponaugle, Lorraine Brazones, 4 brothers-in-law, Donald Brazones, Don Foster, Gale Wanless and Bill Jambois, a sister-in-law, Avis Joyce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s the Assumption Catholic Church in Richland Center. Monsignor Roger Scheckel and Monsignor Michael Gorman will concelebrate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.
