Leonard R. Oncheck, Jr., 63, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Allentown campus. He was the husband of Annette M. (Stibrany) Oncheck to whom he had been married 39 years. Born in Catasauqua, November 26, 1960, Leonard was the son of the late Leonard R. Oncheck, Sr. and Betty (Young) Oncheck. He retired from Travel Impressions, in Bethlehem. Prior to that, he worked at K. Heeps, Inc. in Allentown, and Canteen Corp. a vendor at Mack Trucks, Inc. Leonard was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #10921, Orefield. A life-time advocate of The Boy Scouts of America, Leonard was a former Scout Master of Troop #150, Orefield, a North Valley District Commissioner, a vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, and a L.O.S.T. Director at Trexler Scout Reservation.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Annette; sons, Michael A. Oncheck, Daniel J. Oncheck, Mark A. Oncheck all of Allentown, Robert W. Oncheck and his wife, Elisabeth of Harrisburg; siblings, Thomas Oncheck, Lisa Oncheck both of Danielsville; nephew, Nicholas Stibrany of Slatington.
Service: Family and friends may pay their respects from 6:00 pm. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown.
