A Knight in the 4th Degree
Deceased: November 17, 2023

Jerry John Dzurovsak age 70 of Marcellus, MI formally from Streamwood, IL was called home by the Lord Friday, November 17, 2023. He passed away peacefully at his house with his loving wife of 49 years by his side.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Dzurovsak; Marcellus, MI, daughter, Christina (Gary) Sekoguchi; Streamwood, IL, son, Tim Dzurovsak; St. Petersburg, FL, and sister, Janet Dzurovsak; Matteson, IL. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Ash and Serena; St. Petersburg, FL, and Sadie Yumika; Streamwood, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Marian Dzurovsak, brothers, Eugene and Denny Allen Dzurovsak, and brother-in-law, Paul Weber.

Jerry worked for many years as an inside salesperson for Namco and JFE Shoji before retiring and moving to his lakefront home on Big Cedar Lake where he enjoyed woodworking, model airplanes, boating, and the outdoors. Jerry also loved taking his grandchildren to the park, miniature golfing, and traveling to his winter home in St. Petersburg, FL.

He was a 4th-degree Knight. Jerry was a member of Paw Paw Assembly 0522 and formally Mary’s Millennium Council 12801 Knights of Columbus. He helped with various events such as Pancake Breakfasts, Bingo, and other charitable activities.

Jerry was an avid Chicago Blackhawk, Bears, and White Sox fan. He was lucky enough to see four Stanley Cups, one Superbowl, and one World Series in his life. He rooted for them no matter how good of a season they had!

Visitation Friday, December 1st from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. in Streamwood with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.


Funeral Saturday, December 2nd. Prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 AM followed by the Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church 502 S. Park Blvd, Streamwood at 10:00 AM. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society.
