Lloyd passed away in his home on Saturday, November 11th 2023 in Rockland at the age of 81. He is now united in peace with his wife Marie-Helene and his eldest son Gerard. He leaves behind his second son Philippe and the grandchildren Marc-Antoine, Mitchell and Ellie and his daughter Melissa-Anne (Paul Gagnon) and grand-children Marie-Anne, Thomas Lloyd, Sophia, Christopher-Edmund, Kateri, Stella Maris, and Karol-Jozef.
He is lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, other family members, Marie-Helene's family in France, and friends. He enjoyed sharing stories of his family and career in the Air Force. Teasing and throwing in a joke. He was always spending time tinkering and doing projects.
He was also involved in his parish, particularly with the Knights of Columbus, Saint Edith Stein, Council 13049. Lloyd was a charter member of the Council and the first Grand Knight.
The funeral will be at St. Faustina Parish (2571 Hwy. 174 Cumberland, ON, K4C 1E5) on Saturday November 25th 2023 at 11 am followed by a reception in the church hall. The burial of the ashes will be at the Beechwood National Military Cemetery on Tuesday November 28th 2023 at 11 am. The family thanks all those who have helped and supported Lloyd all these years. |
