COUNCIL #10921 - ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER REMEMBERS
SK LAWRENCE "LARRY" C BELNOSKI

Lawrence C. Belnoski (Larry) of Orefield, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving and dedicated family. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Jula) Belnoski (Betty). She was the long-time sweetheart and the love of his life. They were married for 58 beautiful years, and they were the best of friends. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on September 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Frank and Iren Belnoski of Nanticoke. He was gentle and kind and a most loving son, and most loving brother to his four sisters. Larry served in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Army National Guard during the Vietnam era. He graduated from Newport Township High School in Wanamie, PA and received his bachelor's degree from Moravian College. He enjoyed a 40-year career with Air Products & Chemicals, headquartered in Trexlertown, and retired in 2006 to enjoy vacationing in many places around the world with Betty. His last position at Air Products was director of Aerospace and Defense. In his many years of service, he and Betty were privileged to meet many American heroes such as John Glenn and Buzz Aldrin. This was during the time he and his department secured contracts with the federal government to supply hydrogen for space shuttle launches and engine testing. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker, R.C.C., Orefield, PA, for 47 years. He proudly served on the Pastoral Council and as an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister. Larry was also a fourth-degree Knights of Columbus. He was active in scouting and served as a past Chairman of Advancement of BSA Troop 150, Orefield. Larry was the life of any party, a jokester, storyteller, comedian, protector, comforter, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. An avid game player, he especially enjoyed the board game "Aggravation" where the cry of the crowd was "get blue" (i.e., Larry)! This special man could put a smile on anyone's face and see the positive in any situation. He was much loved by all and will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
