William P. Horn of Streamwood since 1958 The funeral for William P. Horn, 82, will begin at 10:15 a.m. Monday, at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/Schaumburg, proceeding to St. John the Evangelist Church, for a Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. William was a retired teacher and principal with the Chicago Board of Education, a retired real estate broker, a member of the Streamwood Amvets and Fourth Degree member of the St. John the Evangelist Council, Knights of Columbus. He was the beloved husband for 52 years of Leona (nee Brandt); loving father of Christopher (Josephine) of Wheaton, Dr. Daniel (Anna) of Sleepy Hollow, Steven (Lisa) of Elgin, Dr. Peter (Amy) of Sleepy Hollow, Virginia (Terrence) Vohasek of Roselle and Renae (Darrick) Schlossmann of Huntley; cherished grandfather of Michaela, Jacob, Samuel, Gabrielle, Kyle, Kelvin, Alyssia, Wesley, Kianna, Alayna, Autumn, Arianna, Brianna, Jonathan, Blase, Adam, Elizabeth, John and Olivia; dear son of the late William and Johanna; and caring brother of Herbert, Timothy, the late Rosemarie Taft and the late Patricia Sullivan.
