INVERNESS - Michael G. Halm, 62, beloved husband to Julianne, nee Yugar; loving father of Rhapsody (Dan) Onderko, Michael Lee (Krista) Halm, Terese Halm; cherished grandfather of John, Max, Dominic, Maria, Michaela Onderko, Aubriana, Benjamin, and Theo Halm, dear brother of William Halm, fond uncle of many. Mike graduated from DePaul University with a degree in marketing. He then enjoyed a career in pharmaceutical sales and later in real estate. He was strong in his Catholic faith, a humble, loving man. Mike was the source of life and laughter, a dear and loyal friend. His kindness was extraordinary. Always a quick wit, a funny pun, and a warm smile for anyone he met. An avid boater and water enthusiast, always happy to take loved ones boating. Mike will be remembered for his dance moves and singing. He loved sports, especially the NBA. He had a natural ability to bring people together forming lasting friendships and marriages. A visitation will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 4:00-8:00pm. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, at Holy Family Parish 2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL at 10:00am, mass to follow at 11:00am. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus Chapter 11981 or Greater Chicago Food Depository.
