Robert Nikodem Obituary
Robert Nikodem, age 75, of Fox Lake, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on April 25, 1942, to the late Frank and Clara (nee Vesely) Nikodem, in Chicago, IL. On June 26, 1965, he married the love of his life, Carol Luczynski at St. Pascal's Church. Robert graduated from Lane Technical High School where he was involved in ROTC and rose to the rank of Colonel. Among his notable business accomplishments, Robert was Vice President-Technical Service for Systems Management Inc., Director of Software Development for Moore Business Systems and President of his own computer consulting business, Segue Business Systems. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a great friend to many. He was an avid baseball fan and active member of the Knights of Columbus where he held several positions including District Deputy and Grand Knight for Council #11981. Robert is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol; dear daughters: Michelle (Mark) Hogan, and Lauren (Joe) Bowling; and cherished granddaughters: Sarah and Claire Hogan. Robert will be dearly missed, but forever remembered by his family and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, in McHenry. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at 10:30 am with visitation at 9:30 am at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Road, in McHenry. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights. |
