DANIEL DOLES Obituary
Daniel Paul Doles Jr. of Palatine Daniel Paul Doles Jr. passed away on Oct. 3, 2012, after a very tough battle with lung cancer. He was born on March 2, 1952, to Elizabeth "Betty" and the late Daniel P. Doles Sr. Danny was very active in sports and loved to be involved in family gatherings. Recently he became a member of the Knights of Columbus and was looking forward to getting involved in their many activities. A loyal Bears fan, he would enjoy getting together to watch the games with family members. His "one-liner jokes" will be missed. Daniel's past employment included Kehe and DPI Specialty Foods. He was a Boy Scouts leader, a soccer and baseball coach. He also played soccer and refereed the games. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Katie;" sons, Jeffrey (Jill) and Daniel III (Marla); grandchildren, Isabella "Bella" and Jimmy; mother, Elizabeth Doles; brothers and sisters, Gary (Mary), James (Mary), Billy (Kelly), Dorri (Mark) Hauser and Cathy Flanagan; and 19 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Daniel's name to Kellogg Cancer Center, Glenbrook Hospital, 2180 Pfingsten Road, Suite 1000, Glenview, IL 60026, would be appreciated. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 5, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine His funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home, going to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E.
