Mr. Gener C Galutera, age 68, of Goose Creek, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Gener Galutera migrated to the US from the Philippines in 1981 as single as petitioned by his mom Leonora. After a year he came back to the Philippines to marry his girlfriend Zenaida Zalamea. He worked at the Commission of Public Works in Charleston, Cantor Fitzgerald in New York, and First Federal (now South State Bank) in Charleston, SC. He became a citizen, worked, set up a business and retired in 2009. He was involved in several community organizations such as Hiyasmin Cultural Society, Immaculate Conception parish, Knights of Columbus, but to-date was active in the Couples for Christ (CFC). He is survived by his wife Zenaida (Candy) and only son Gino. His siblings are Lina Galutera Calub and Rodolfo Galutera. His sister-in-law is Laura Zalamea and Amelia Zalamea Isaac (PI). His brothers-in-law are Tony, Rick and Manny Zalamea (PI). His nephew is Brian Galutera Calub. His nieces are Leslie Galutera Calub, Coleen Zalamea Jones and Genevieve Galutera Childress. Grands are Cecilia Galutera Calub , Gage and Roman Zalamea Jones, Ethan Galutera Childress. |
