Steven Robert Shechner, age 76, of Branchville, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Newton Medical Center. Steven was born on November 29, 1945 in Newark, NJ to the late Dr. Isidore and Doris (Jenkins) Shechner. Steven grew up in North Caldwell, NJ before settling in Branchville in 1976. Steven was a 1963 graduate of Barringer High School, attended Park College and New York Institute of Technology. Steven was a proud US Air Force veteran, serving during Vietnam. He was a former Sgt. at the Essex County Correctional Center from 1970 to 1994 and was employed at the Lafayette Post Office from 1994 to 2007. Steven was a member of the Knights of Columbus Don |
