Gene served as Faithful Navigator to Assembly 2420. He loved playing the role of Santa Claus for small children and was quite good at it.

Mr.Gene Wegner, 71 of Madison passed away peacefully and with his family around him, Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Madison. Mr Wegner was born in Stockton CA and has been a resident of Madison since 1993. After 42 years of working for the Federal Government he retired as a Logistics Manager. He is a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, and for more then 40 years he participated in youth sports as a volunteer coach. He is survived by his wife Maureen P. Wegner. Two daughters Vickie Herrera and Shannon Judd. Three sons, Sonny Wegner, Brandon Wegner and Patrick Wegner. One brother Walter Wegner and three sisters, Barbara, Caroline and Saundra. 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be heldWednesday at St. John's |
