John Jack Kopcak III, age 71, died of heart complications on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He spent his final moments doing what he loves, playing golf. Jack was born on July 1, 1951, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to his parents, Beatrice and John II. He graduated from California State College in 1971. Among his many professional endeavors, Jack was a Mobile Oil Rep, high school teacher, educational consultant, and even taught Cal Ripken, Jr. how to play basketball. Jack lived for his family, especially his loving wife, his classroom, golf, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Vicky; and sons John IV (Tiffany), Stephen (Stacy), and Christopher (Kelly).
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
