Floyd Matthew Kaiser, 84, of Shevlin, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Neilson Place in Bemidji, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bagley and visitations will also be one hour prior to funeral services on Friday.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Father JohnMelkies Suvakeen and Deacon Aaron Kaiser officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Bagley, Minnesota. Military Rites will be accorded by the Irvin Blix American Legion Post #16 of Bagley, MN.
Floyd Matthew Kaiser was born June 23, 1936, to Anthony and Rose (Brandl) Kaiser in Carver, Minnesota. He was the youngest of seven children. Floyd graduated from Rockford in 1954, and then enlisted in the US Army in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1959.
Floyd married Adele Bourgeois on November 3, 1962 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dayton, Minnesota. They purchased a farm in Jenkins in 1963, where nine children were born, and in 1978, moved to a farm near Shevlin where two more children were born.
Floyd had a passion for farming and raising livestock. He raised buffalo to peacocks, and everything in between, and also had a love for Collies. He was an active member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, the National Farmers Organization (NFO), and was a member of St. Joesph’s Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings - Florence Larson, Helen Bona, Leroy Kaiser, Edward Kaiser, and Delzetta Thomas: brothers-in-law - Ronald Bourgeois, Eugene Bourgeois; and sisters-in-law - Pearl Benon, Marrian Scharber, Jane Ieger and Corinne Rasmussen.
