Deacon Richard Govek ("Deacon Dick") of St. Joseph Parish joined the Knights later in life in 2009 and was an enthusiastic supporter of the San Salvador Council. He will be remembered for his kindness, gentleness, and his exhortations to prayer and an active living out of our Catholic faith. He served as our council Chaplain for several years and began the tradition of praying the Rosary before each Council meeting and of praying the Rosary at St. Joe's on First Fridays, both of which we carry on to this day. |
