MARSHALL — Charles Theodore “Chuck†Heimerdinger was born December 25, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Charles F. and Rose Heimerdinger, and he left the physical world on September 14, 2014. Services for Mr. Heimerdinger will be 3 p.m. today, September 19, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marshall, Texas. He attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1961. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served our country proudly for 23 years. His service included assignments in various locations in Texas, Korea and Hawaii. On October 20, 1964, he married Marie Clare Bradford, who was his partner in life for 49 years. Together they raised three children and traveled the world spending time in most of our 50 states, Germany, Italy, Israel, Russia, Aruba and Venezula. In 1992, Chuck and Marie settled in Marshall, a community that they embraced and made their home. Chuck found solace in the community of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he participated in the Knights of Columbus, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and the Boy Scouts. Chuck was also known for his insatiable love of trains and was active in Marshall Depot. He is succeeded by his wife, Marie; daughter, Theresa Yantis and husband, Jesse, of Devine, Texas; daughter, Katherine Heimerdinger and partner, Paula Fair, of Double Oak, Texas; son, Charles R. Heimerdinger of Albuquerque, N.M.; and “adopted†family Emilia Siniak and her children, Teresa and Adam. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. Heimerdinger and Rose Stark Heimerdinger Wilson. |
