Past Grand Knight and Sir Knight William “Bill†Ohler, of Converse, passed away on August 15, 2021 at age 77.
Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was loved and cherished by many people including his parents, Catherine Ohler (Bednarz) and Charles Ohler; his children, Elizabeth Joiner, Christy Hivnor (Chad) and Charles Ohler; his wife Catalina Ohler; and his grandchildren, Gabrielle Ohler, Cole Hivnor, Luke Hivnor, Joseph Joiner, Mary Kate Hivnor, Clare Hivnor, Kenzie Ohler, Gianna Hivnor and Blaise
Hivnor.
Bill was a true leader for his family, to St. Monica, and to our council. As Grand Knight, Bill was an innovator and always sought to better our service programs. He volunteered his time for the Pancake Breakfast, BBQ Fundraisers, Donation Blood Drives, Toy Drives; as well as being Knight of the Month in 1993, 1995 and 1998.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, August 20 preceded by a Prayer of the Holy Rosary by members of Council 9681 of the Knights of Columbus at St. Monica with Rev. Msgr. Thumma Prahtap offciating.
Brother Bill will be missed and we pray for the repose of his soul and that he be rewarded by God for a life well lived. |
