COUNCIL #4034 - FREDERICKSBURG REMEMBERS
FRANCIS KRASINSKI

Francis "Frank" Krasinski, age 56, of Fredericksburg, passed away at Mary Washington Hospital on June 23, 2009.

Frank was a devoted father and a faithful friend to many. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fredericksburg.

For 8 years, he raised and trained Bouvier Des Flanders dogs for obedience, shuntz, search and rescue. Frank gave that up so he and his wife, Corrine, could start their family.

They were blessed with three sons: Benjamin, Alexander and Nathan. Along with the boys, Frank and Corrine became active in Stafford County Youth Sports. He coached baseball for 10 years and soccer for 6 years. During those 16 years, he became known only as "Coach Frank."

Frank and Corrine's door was always open for any of the children. This enabled them to become "surrogate parents" to many.

Frank attended NVCC where he received his Associates Degree. He later graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's Degree.

He was very involved with his church, where he taught religious studies to the youth and sometimes served as an usher for mass.

Frank worked for the Swift Company in both the Culpeper and Manassas locations for 30 years. During that time, Swift made him a world traveler. He went to Belgium, Mexico, India, Australia, New Zealand and Peru, to name a few locations.

Frank is survived by his wife of 32 years, D. Corrine Krasinski, and three sons: Benjamin and Nathan of the home and PVT 2 Alexander Krasinski of Ft. Gordon, Ga.

He is also survived by his mother, Mary Bledsoe and his sister, Carol Sausa, both of Arizona.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Krasinski, and his step - father, Jimmie Bledsoe, and two brothers, Walter and Eddie Krasinski.

On Sunday, June 28, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. the family wishes other family members and friends to join them at Mullins and Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel to celebrate Frank's life.

A Funeral Mass will be held on June 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park, 7428 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Va.

Pallbearers are Benjamin, Alexander and Nathan Krasinski; Chris Baldwin, Bob Coley, and Dale Schumann, Frank's brother-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the SPCA, The American Cancer Society, or other charity of your choice.
