Vestal, NY - Clark W. "Bill" Howell II,77, Vestal, NY and formerly of New Milford, PA was called home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2021. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and beloved wife of almost 60 years, Kathleen Russell Howell; the best father to, Milissa Plescia (husband Glenn), JoAnn Mannetti, Christine De Luca (husband Michael), Bridget Martin, and Kari Pepe (husband Carlo); his cherished grandchildren, Joseph Sabina Jr. (wife Arielle), Christopher Sabina, Danielle Restrepo (husband David), Olivia Mannetti, Daniel Mannetti, John De Luca, Sarah De Luca, Catherine De Luca, Anthony Howell (wife Alexandra), Shawn Feldman, Hannah Howell, Jacob Feldman, Connor Pepe, and Kayleen Pepe; his pride and joy, his great grandchildren, Maisey Howell and Jerome Howell; his brother, Richard W. Howell; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Ross (husband Larry), Dixie Russell, and Aggie Russell; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends; and his precious companion dog, Junie B. Jones. He was predeceased by his parents, Clark W. and Lula Howell; a sister, Donna Cramer (Robert); son-in-law, Toby Martin; brothers-in-law, John Russell, Richard Russell, and infant Joey Russell; sister-in-law, Shirley Howell; and a nephew, Joe Russell. Following high school, Bill enlisted with the United States Navy on 8-11-1960, active duty from 1960-1962 aboard the USS Essex and the USS Independence, with time in the Reserves from 1962-1966. He worked in computer programming for various companies including IBM, SUNY, Seibles Bruce, and Litton Computer Services. He retired from BASF Corporation in 2001. Bill took great pleasure in recording his daughters singing, playing his guitar, and composing music. He was an avid reader, enjoyed assembling puzzles, was a model railroad enthusiast, and flew for many years with his private pilot's license. As a devout Roman Catholic, Bill was a life time member of the Knights of Columbus, past Grand Knight of Don Bosco 7784, Newton, NJ, and a member in Endicott Counsel 1839. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA. Interment will be made in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA.
