COUNCIL #8960 - REV. FR. EUGENE HEYCK PEARLAND, TX REMEMBERS
GAIL TONY TUCKER

Gail Anthony “Tony” Tucker, 59, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 6, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Tucker. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Mary (Althof) Tucker; son, Travis Remington Tucker; daughters, Tracy Lynn Tucker and Taylor Krystin Tucker; nephews, Timothy Tucker and Troy Tucker; as well as a host of many other family and friends. Tony’s most recent position before retirement was as Controller for Valero at the Texas City refinery. He worked for Valero and their affiliates for more than 34 years. He served on the Valero Federal Credit Union Board for 13 years and 2 years as the Chairman. Tony was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Helen Catholic Church. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus. By retiring early, Tony had the opportunity to spend time enjoying his two loves: his family and playing golf. The simple things in life were the most important to him, like getting up in the morning and making breakfast for Taylor, sitting on the back porch talking to Travis, and planning the next football trip with Tracy. Tony loved to play golf and looked forward to every opportunity he had to play. He also loved to travel with his family and friends to experience new things and new places. His generosity extended to everyone on these trips as he enjoyed taking care of all the details. He truly loved to attend Broadway musicals and his favorite was always the most recent one he was attending. Tony was also an active volunteer at Taylor’s school, Dawson High School, and was always there to lend a hand with her band activities. Tony was a strong University of Houston Alumni Booster and was a proud Cougar. Tony will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends, golf buddies, and his long time Valero family.
