There are many impressions and misconception of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our distinguished panel of experts is being led by Dr. Jim Kulich , Chair, Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Elmhurst University, Mr. Jack Lynch, vice President of Strategy at Ridgeline and the developer of Reading Ambitiously newsletter and Mr. Chris Wendt, Vice President of Technology Service with Syscon, Inc.  The panel will explain what AI is, how we got here and how small and medium business can use it.  These systems can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and language translation.

The concept of AI has been around since ancient times, but the formal study began in the mid-20th century. Pioneers like Alan Turing and John McCarthy laid the groundwork for AI as a field of research. The progression from simple algorithms to deep learning and neural networks has revolutionized AI over the decades.

AI is now integrated into various facets of our daily lives, from virtual personal assistants like Siri and Alexa to more complex applications in healthcare, finance, and autonomous vehicles. The potential of AI to enhance efficiency and decision-making in numerous industries is vast and continually evolving.
