Manpower for this casino
Sheraton Dallas layout, loading dock, and main entrance
Parking Options
- This Texas state convention of the Catholic Daughters of America will have 530 people in attendance, and we are participating in a joint venture with Council 13408 to provide enough casino "seats."
- The space provided for casino activities will be split into 2 sections, such that 2 separate casinos are operating. Council 8417's chips stay on our side, and Council 13408's chips stay on their side. If a customer wants to move from from one casino to the other, they must cash out from the side they are on and cash in at the other side.
- Gambling is scheduled from 7pm to 10pm. Dealers will stop gambling for two (2) ten minute breaks - One at 7:50pm and the other at 8:50pm.
- Casino volunteers will be provided dinner from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in room 2755 (i.e., our hospitality room).
- We are instructed to use the loading dock (i.e., on the Harwood St side of the conference center) to unload/load our equipment. We are scheduled to use the dock at 4:00pm. So, set up begins at 4:00pm if you can make it. Council 13408 is renting a truck with a lift on the back to help get equipment 4 feet up to the grand hall level, and they plan on helping us as necessary.
- Council members are encouraged to car pool if at all possible. The Sheraton Conference Center has a parking garage, but it costs $32. Parking is available for much less (e.g., $10 to $18) at several lots within a block or two from the conference center. Click on "Parking Options" button above for more details. The 2020 Live Oak Garage and Olive Pearl Park Lot are really close and least expensive. Save parking receipts for reimbursement.
- The Sheraton Dallas Conference Center is 31 miles from the KC hall, so plan for at least a 45 minute drive from the hall plus add some time to walk from parking lot.
