COUNCIL INFORMATION

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus is an international fraternal organization for Catholic men with 1.9 million members. Our core values are charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We work to lead our families and our community in faith and service through our programs at our local councils, which focus on Faith, Community, Family, and Life.
At Christ the King, our Faith programs include: supporting seminarians with our Pennies for Heaven collections; Fifth Sunday rosaries; Spiritual Reflection events; and work to support our parish. Our Community programs include: donations for disaster relief; our coat and blanket drives to assist the homeless; and supporting Scouts. Our Family programs include: supporting SVdP with food drives and donations; promoting Keep Christ in Christmas; family events like picnics, soup suppers and Fat Tuesdays; and Consecrations to the Holy Family. Our Life programs include: supporting the Fr. Taaffe Homes for unwed mothers; donating to pro-life organizations such as Pregnancy Resource Centers; and promoting the Novena for Life.
Fraternal benefits of membership in the Knights of Columbus include faith formation resources, the Columbia monthly magazine that highlights issues that matter to Catholics, KofC voluntary insurance programs, and a fraternity of faith with brothers who share your values.
The Knights of Columbus is open to men who are 18 years of age and a practicing Catholic in union with the Holy See. We meet once a month to report on activities, approve donations, share fellowship, and pray for our members sick or in distress. Members select from our many activities and events where to focus their support.
To join the Knights of Columbus, speak with any of the one hundred plus members of our local Christ the King council, or contact our Grand Knight Ed Andolino at 503-908-1424. Join us and put your faith into action.
