History of Council 6964
.jpg)
In mid 1977, a group of men from the Hoffman – Schaumburg area asked Father William Shields, Pastor of St. Hubert Church to help start a new Knights of Columbus council to perform works of charity in their neighborhoods. Today, our council represents the parishes of St. Hubert, Church of the Holy Spirit and St. Matthew. We all support each others parish as though it is our own.
Charity remains as our main principle and our mission. We fulfill these through programs of service and fund raising to support Catholic evangelization, civic causes and aid to those in need.
Our council was founded by SK Dick AmRhein, our first Grand Knight, pictured on the right. Check out the original application above showing our council's first roster.

Qr Code

This is a Qr Code for our website. It will direct people to our website by simply scanning it with their Smart Phones. It can be added to any signs, stationery, flyers, etc. we make for our events. To all those who make up marketing materials or flyers for our council please try to add this whenever you can. You should be able to right click on it and select "save image as" to save it as a jpeg file on your computer. Then you should be able to add it to your document, flyer or sign. If you have trouble with this please let your Webmaster know and we can email a jpeg file to you.
What We Do
We participate in charitable works, raising money and providing effort for groups in need throughout our communities. We provide social fellowship, reinforcing our beliefs and strengthening the ties between families and friends. It is our great privilege to serve and augment the activities of our parish and the church as a whole. And we provide support for those members who may find themselves in need, especially through our long standing and excellent insurance program.
Our Objectives
To support our church
To build fraternal bonds through social, religious, educational and athletic activities
To provide comfort and assistance to the sick, disabled, needy members and families
To reach out to meet community needs through programs of charity and service
To provide financial security of our members and their families through our fraternal insurance program
Each of us chooses whichever one (s) of those objectives where we can best utilize our time, interest, talent and
our fellow man.
