Who Are We?

The Knights of Columbus are the worlds largest Roman Catholic Fraternal organizations, over 1.7 million members in over 14,000 councils world-wide. The Perkiomen Valley Council 3633 serves the parishes of St. Eleanor in Collegeville and St. Mary's in Schwenksville and draws its membership from both parishes and other surrounding parishes. In addition to serving both parishes, the Knights are active in the following programs:

What we do...

  • Provides funding for two $3,000 Scholarships to students who be going to Pope John Paul II High School and come from St. Eleanor or St. Mary parish. Selection of the students is administrated by a scholarship committee. Applicatnts must apply to Apply - Home Page Menu - Pope John Paul II High School (pjphs.org)

  • Hold an annual memorial mass and Communion Breakfast honoring deceased members of the Council. Breakfast following the mass is a family event with award presented to an individual or couple (not a member of the Knights of Columbus) exhibiting Catholic values
  • Administer the Rose and Rosary Program at each parish providing a Rose and Rosary to each family at the time of the baptism of their child.(see additional details below )
  • Sponsor various prayer services within the parishes each year
  • Scholarship Fund – A Fund formally titled the George C. Craig Scholarship Fund that provides scholarship funds to help defray the cost of tuition for a Catholic Education in Parochial and Catholic High Schools for the children of Council 3633 members, in accordance with the Scholarship Fund By Laws.
  • Annual Council Picnic for families of Knights and clergy from respective paris5
  • Manpower support to our pastors/parishes and individuals in community unable to afford certain home repairs
  • Actively support Pro-Life activities through the annual Rose for Life drive on Respect Life Weekend; support to A Baby’s Breath crisis pregnancy center and Birthright of Pottstown.
  • Contribute numerous volunteer hours to many parish organizations
