COUNCIL INFORMATION
Our Beginning
After months of SK Frank Miele lobbying our Pastor Fr. Ed Henhoeffer for a parish Knights of Columbus Council at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Fr Ed hosted a BBQ event in the summer of 2019 with some Knights who attend Mass at our church to discuss the concept.
An overwhelming positive response from the group set the wheels in motion. Over a period of a few months, a team of Knights comprised of Frank Miele, Ron Caerels, Greg Huckle, George Puthenkulam, Rohan Nazareth, Greg Gillies, Paul Catena, Rick Lomas and Bernie Moorcroft, gathered together to organize the Council under the direction of Fr Ed and District Deputy SK Vic Lefebvre.
A "Welcome Sunday" at the Church in September 2019, allowed us to sign up a record number of new Knights from our parish and with a total 55 Members recruited, Council 17397 St.Paul the Apostle was born.
Rohan Nazareth stepped up as our Charter Grand Knight, Greg Gillies as Deputy Grand Knight and our Inauguration Date was set at January 25, 2020, to commemorate the feast day of the Conversion of St. Paul, our Council's namesake.
