Deacon Douglas R Sliger Council 16127 was formed in in late 2014 through the efforts of the men and Clergy of Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Parish, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The council was officially recognized and approved Jan 15, 2014 and presented with its Charter on 22 March 2015. The council is named in honor of our beloved “Deacon Doug” who exemplified the power of good works and charity throughout Northern Utah, and we miss him much. The council works closely with the Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Parish at Hill Air Force Base and surrounding community and providing funds for various charitable projects. Our council provides a unique opportunity for the men of our parish to practice our faith in a positive way. We have all seen Knights in Tootsie Roll drives benefiting the handicapped, in breakfasts and dinners to raise money for charity, in blood drives, as honor guards for liturgies, running contests for our youth, and other charitable works or service. Our member’s individual contributions vary according to their personal and family circumstances and we would love to have you join with us in doing the Lords work.
