COUNCIL INFORMATION

History of Council #14476 - St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel Council was founded in March, 2008. It is named after St. Michael the Archangel, who rescues the souls of the faithful especially at the hour of death. St. Michael is the champion of the Jews in the Old Law, the Christians in the New Testament and an order of knights during the Middle Ages.

Since our beginning in March of 2008, our council has strived to fulfill the principles of our Order.

Some of our council’s accomplishments over this period of time:

  • Make the Catholic presence visible in Northern Hamilton County

  • Donations to Agape Riding Center

  • Donations to annual Vacation Bible School

  • Coordination of Blood Drives

  • Purchase of Calendars for parish

  • Support the parish Youth Group activities

  • Provide labor for church ground maintenance

  • Support for Sacred Heart of Jesus Food Pantry

  • Donations to Hamilton County Food Pantry

  • Participation in Cicero 4th of July Parade

  • Donations to Knights of Columbus Relief Funds

Social Event

May Meeting/Social - Monday, May 9th - 6:30 p.m.

Steve Keller's home - 34 Forest Bay Ln, Cicero

Come join the Knights at a short meeting and social gathering at the Keller home in Cicero.  Steve Keller has a beautiful in-home Pub (bar) that is both welcoming and comfortable to enjoy - with a well-stocked bar.  (see image attached - actual picture).

We will have a TIP JAR for the bartender and Half the Tips will go to the barkeep, while the other half will go to the Knights' General Fund.  So be generous if you are partaking of spirits.

Officers will be providing finger foods and sides... this is not a full meal but munchies and drinks for us to share together.  There will be a short meeting, but the intent is to celebrate life and fraternal friendship.

No R.S.V.P. necessary - all are welcome but come on time for the meeting.

IMPORTANT -  street parking will be best while reserving spots by the house for those who need easy access.

Mothers Day

We will need a few Knights men to attend and assist at the Mother's Day Weekend Masses (after each service) - Sat., May 7th, and Sunday 8th.
We will be handing out carnations to honor all mothers on this special day set aside for their recognition.
No need to R.S.V.P.  - and thank you for your consideration.
