We Are The Knights
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of practicing Catholic men 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight of Council 11169 is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting Saint Rita Catholic Community while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.
In addition to a wide variety of service activities available we conduct various fund raising activities during the year Our fund raisers include; monthly community breakfasts, the Father/Daughter Dance, the Beef Raffle, and Fall Shredfest where people bring their documents to be shredded. 100% of the proceeds raised are used to help fund parish organizations, Pro-Life organizations, Saint Vincent de Paul, Saint Mary of Carmel (our sister parish), sponsorship of local seminarians as well as our parish priest retirement funds. Today, we are looking for the next generation of Knights. Men of character and conviction who are driven by both faith and conscience to do truly meaningful works. But of the countless rewards Knighthood offers, perhaps the most inviting is this: The knowledge that, as a Knight, you can make a difference. Through fearless service, through heartfelt perseverance,and above all through unfaltering fellowship. All the good works we do are informed by our four core principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
