The Knights of Columbus Council 10872 was formed in 1992 to provide charitable and community services to the Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic community in Spring, Texas.
Our Council alone contributes time, talent and treasure to multiple charities in our immediate Spring, Texas (Houston Metro) and to the world wide charities that the Knights of Columbus supports.
Catholic Gentlemen join the Knights to "give back" to their communites and our Holy Church.
Because of time restraints some Knights have, some sign up for one or two events per year whereas others do almost every event. Time restraints should not be an issue in order to join the Knights of Columbus.
When you join the Knights of Columbus, your extended family grows because of your fellow brothers and their families are with you.
The Knights of Columbus Order was founded on the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraterniy and Patriotism (4th Dgree) and our brother Knights provide that leadership to our communities. Also at the time of our founding, our order created an insurance group that is second to none in the world providing security and support for our families.
Join the Knights of Columbus by doing the following:
Being a Participant
Being a BLESSING!
Being a KNIGHT!
Our Founding
The Father Joseph Plummer Council was founded in 1990 through the efforts of Dave Gaska - Charter Grand Knight. Father Joseph Plummer was an Associate Pastor at Christ the Good Shepherd from 1983 through 1987. For over 25 years the council has worked closely with the Christ the Good Shepherd Parish to provide parish and community services by providing manpower and money for many Church functions and ministries.
1 Millionth "Keep Christ in Christmas" Magnet

The 1 millionth "Keep Christ in Christmas" magnet sold by Knights of Columbus across the United States is presented to Daniel Cardinal DiNardo.
The "Keep Christ in Christmas" program which Council #10872 participates in helps to evangelize the true meaning of Christmas. The funds raised from these sales support many of the Council's charitable causes and events.
