A successful year of fundraising allowed Knights of Columbus Council 10861 of St. Ignatius Loyola in Spring to donate more than $20,000 in charitable giving this fraternal year.

In addition to parish breakfasts and Lenten fish fries, the Council hosted successful Wine Tasting, Beer, Brats & Brothers and Casino events to raise funds this year.

The Council made a $10,000 donation to the St. Ignatius Capital Campaign to help pay for our parish’s new Gonzaga Center.

Council 10861 also made donations for seminarian support and the priest retirement home in our Archdiocese.

In June the Council awarded the Danny Barrera Memorial Scholarship to two graduating seniors from our parish – Isabel Nolte and Abigail Dommert – who excelled in community service, leadership and academics. Both students are daughters of Knights in our Council. Nolte will attend Texas A&M this fall while Dommert will attend Notre Dame.
