2nd Annual Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest

CONTEST DATES

The contest is open between November 17, 2024, and December 15, 2024. All entries must be received by December 15, 2024. 

TOPICS/CATEGORIES

Each poster must reflect the Keep Christ in Christmas theme with a visual image. There is no limit to the number of posters each contestant may submit. Although each entry must be accompanied by an entry form.

ELIGIBILITY

The Knights of Columbus Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest is open to all youth of the parish between the ages of 5 and 14. Age eligibility is determined by the age of the contestant as of November 1.

AGE GROUPS

Contest entrants compete in one of three age groups — ages 5 through 7, ages 8 through 10, and 11 through 14. 

RULES

  1. The poster must reflect the theme of Keep Christ in Christmas.
  2. Each poster should be the original work (including concept, layout, slogan, and any visual images) of a single person.
  3. Posters should be approximately 11x17 inches. However, the Supreme Council will not disqualify based on poster size.
  4. if pastels, chalk, or charcoal are used, the poster must be laminated or covered with clear plastic.
  5. Each poster must be submitted with a Knights of Columbus Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest entry form (#5025). The name and age of the entrant should be printed on the reverse side of the poster in case the poster and entry form get separated.
  6. All entries become the property of the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council office. Posters cannot be returned in most cases.

AWARDS

The following awards will be given for each age group:

  • 1st = $25
  • 2nd = $15
  • 3rd = $10

Winners will be announced around the first of the new year.

Please remember that dues are for the calendar year, from January 1 to December 31. Dues notices were sent in January. If you don't have a notice, please contact our Financial Secretary, Paul Miller, at paul-jr@themillers.com . Dues can be paid by sending them to the Financial Secretary. Also, for your convenience, dues for Council 9993 and Assembly 3049 may be paid by credit card at our site: https://k-of-c-council-9993.square.site . We're looking forward to seeing you at council meetings and events as the situation allows. 

 

For those who are in financial difficulty due to the pandemic or other situations, please notify the Financial Secretary or the Grand Knight Ernie Rodriguez to arrange a waiver. There is no need to be embarrassed or withdraw. We want to help.
