St. Paul Knights of Columbus Support Balcones Heights Police Department

On March 13th, 2021 the St. Paul Knights of Columbus joined the local community and partnered with the Balcones Heights Police Department. The event was a BBQ chicken and sausage fundraiser to benefit fallen Balcones Heights Police Sergeant Jose  Sepulveda. Sergeant Sepulveda was shot multiple times by a suspect while responding to a stolen vehicle report and was seriously injured. He was in critical condition and spent a month in the hospital recovering. He was recently released. Fellow officers and the Balcones Heights Police Association hosted the event. Members of the St. Paul Knights of Columbus heard about the event and reached out to Balcones Heights Police Department who embraced the show of support and offer to help. The Council's "Cooking Crew" (Michael Flores, Eddie Pete Rodriguez, Juan Reyna, and Marcos Saldana)  were instrumental in coordinating our participation. The Crew showed up at 4am Saturday morning with our new state of the art BBQ and cooked close to 1,000 pieces of chicken. GK Ed Frayre spoke to Sgt. Robert Dominguez, who was one of the main organizers,  of the Balcones Heights Police Department Saturday morning. He was elated at the help provided and said that our Council was instrumental to their success. In addition, Balcones Heights Councilwoman Gloria Cantu stopped by to praise our cooking crew and took a photo with them. She said that she would never forget what they did by being there to support their police department.

We could not be prouder of Michael Flores, Juan Reyna, Eddie Pete Rodriguez, and Marcos Saldana for recognizing the opportunity to serve our local community and bringing the request to participate to Council 7265. The Council unanimously approved the request. These Knights reflect what it is to be a St. Paul Knight of Columbus. Well done Brothers!!

SUPER BOWL FUNDRAISER HUGE SUCCESS!!

Our annual Super Bowl Fundraiser was held on February 7th. Thank you to all of the Knights that made this event a huge success. The cooking team was there from Friday through Sunday preparing and cooking. We had other Knights making potato salad and getting the sides ready on their own to avoid close contact. There were numerous people that donated briskets, bread, their time and other items to ensure that we would be ready come Sunday.

Huge shout out to our wonderful St. Paul Youth Group!! They were fantastic as usual working tirelessly setting up and working on the assembly line preparing the plates.

Finally, our outstanding parishioners, parents, friends, relatives, neighbors that came out to support us. Thank you very much!! Please see our slideshow for photos of the event.

As a result of all of the above we sold a record number 730 plates!!!

Blessings and our heartfelt gratitude from St. Paul Council #7265!!

St. Paul Council Sponsors Parish Tree Service Project

The Council recently took the initiative to have the trees at the Church and the Community Center cleaned and pruned. I & L Tree Service did an amazing job. Both properties received a great "face lift". Fr. Charles, Mary Davila, and Virginia Valenzuela were very excited that this took place.
