News & Announcements

Are you interested in joining our Council?

First, thank you for checking out the Knights of Columbus.  For over 100 years, this organization of Catholic men has served the Church and the family members of the Knights.  We do this by striving to follow our founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.  If you are not currently a member and aren't sure what we do, you can click here to learn more about the Knights of Columbus.

If you would like to join the Knights, there are just two simple requirements.  First, you must be 18 years of age or older. Second, you must be a practical (that is, practicing) Catholic in union with the Holy See.  That means you, as a practical Catholic,

  • accept the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals,
  • aspire to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and
  • are in good standing in the Catholic Church.

If you are all of the above, the next step is to contact our Financial Secretary (click here) and ask that he send you a Form 100 Membership Application.  He will then send that to you (usually via the U.S. Postal service) and will describe the process to become a Knight as well as providing you with other important items you should be aware (dues, meeting times and place, etc.).

If you are currently a Knight in good standing and would like to transfer in, the easiest way is to attend our monthly meeting, which takes place on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.  Be sure to bring your current membership card.  Presently, we meet in the St. John Center located at 1048 Sea Mountain Hwy; North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Click here for a map showing its location.

If you are unable to attend a meeting but still want to transfer, you can contact our Financial Secretary (click here) and ask that he send you a Form 100 Transfer Application.

Once again, thanks for considering joining the Knights of Columbus and especially Council 7122, and we look forward to meeting you and having you join the Knights.

Daniel's Jan 2023 letter

Daniel's Apr 2023 letter

Each year, the Council provides funding to support a young man through the Unbound program.

Unbound was founded by lay Catholic workers acting on the Gospel call to serve the poor. Its sponsorship program provides basic necessities such as food, education, clothing and access to medical care to children and elderly in some of the world's poorest communities.

This year, we are supporting a young man named Daniel Cartagena.  You can click on the links above to read his latest letters to the Council.

Most of you are aware of the effort and challenges Catholicism faces in Africa.  If you'd like to find out more about this difficult environment, click on this link to visit the ACIAFRICA website.
