Our 16th Annual Knights of Columbus Council #5846 Charity Horseshoe Tournament is SUNDAY, September 8th. Registration begins at 11:30 AM, opening ceremony at 12:30 PM followed by the first games. If necessary, the next rain date is TBD.

Please support our veterans and first responders by playing, attending, or donating. The entry is $50 per player, $25 per adult, $10 under 21 years old, and kids under 7 years old are free. This includes delicious food, soda, water, tap beer, cash bar, DJ music, and a raffle.

The Knights ring in their support for our wounded veterans and first responders!

Every September we witness our community’s support for our Council and the Gary Sinise Foundation, which allows us to raise money for their R.I.S.E. program and first responders. We are overjoyed to help this organization support America’s most severely wounded heroes and their families. 

After our fifteenth community event, we are excited to announce that our Council has exceeded $120,000 in total donations to wounded veterans and first responders.

Our next Horseshoe Tournament will be scheduled for September 7, 2024 (Rain date Sept. 8). Please continue to support our veterans and first responders and check back in August for more information.  

K of C Coat and Clothing Drives

Our council conducts an annual Deacon Richard Mohr Coat Drive on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Thanks to the generosity of our community and our wonderful volunteers we collect a tremendous amount of new and gently used coats and warm clothing to help Saint John’s of Newark serve the many homeless in that area. You can see pictures of this collection drive on our Facebook page @OaklandKnights. Thank you for your continued support!

Support Several Sources Shelters

Our Council runs annual fundraising drives to help the Several Sources Shelters.

Several Sources Shelters are beacons of hope for God's innocent preborn and their mothers.  As free, safe havens for the abandoned, lost and suffering pregnant, they provide much needed hope and support.

Support our William Sullivan Special Children's Fund Drive

Our Council conducts annual Special Children’s Collection Drives.  100% of all proceeds are donated to charitable organizations that support God's special children, such as Special Olympics New Jersey, Camp Acorn, and the Mary Therese Rose Fund.
